Zach is our subject matter expert in money management or investment markets. He leads a team of 8 investment managers in Australia and the USA and provides Independent Advisers WA with access to information and key insights that are not available in the general Australian advice market.

Independent Advisers WA has adopted Zach's team asset allocation guidance which is unique as it takes into consideration the needs of the clients instead of big licensees and banks. With this as the base, Mick and Zach, and his team developed a customized ethical advice solution specifically for IFSWA clients, that targets the 17 Goals of Sustainability of the United Nations.

Based on accountable research Zach and his team are responsible for asset allocation advice and investment product solutions as well as direct monitoring and reporting on Mick's Ethical Share Portfolio, through monthly reporting and updates.
A Bit About Zach
Mr Riaz has close to twenty years’ experience in financial markets, including portfolio management, investment management and sell-side investment research. He is currently the Director and Investment Manager at Banyantree Investment Group, with responsibilities across multi-asset and equity strategies. Previously, he was an equity research analyst at RBC Capital Markets covering the basic materials and industrials sector (including Chemicals). Prior to this, he was an equity research analyst within IOOF research team responsible for Australian equities and Australian equities strategy with FUA of A$2.5bn. He was also the lead analyst covering ASX listed hybrids, providing valuation and running the internal IPO process for new hybrid IPOs.
Earlier, he was an Adviser to Honourable Nick Greiner (former Premier of New South Wales and Company Chairman), providing advice on large multi-national companies across diverse sectors encompassing financial performance, strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) proposals.
